God's Rocking My World

So much to say... my heart is so full... and my body so tired lol :)...

Tonight was my big fundraiser dinner... it's done, it's over, I made it, but only with the Holy Spirit doing His thing and God blessing my socks off with the best friends and parents ever! My vision became reality tonight as over 50 people joined me for lasagna and some time to share my heart for Africa. There was an awesome fundraiser, there were my keychains for donations, and there were donations galore! :)

The Holy Spirit spoke through me tonight and it was so cool. All week I struggled with what to say, nervous about getting up in front of people and not liking what I'd planned. Well, this morning during an awesome quiet time, God gave me a new outline! The amazing thing... I didn't even look at my notes!! :) What, what!!! Holy Spirit livin and movin and speakin through me... I cried like 4 times and I hear the Spirit even moved a handful of men to fan their eyes! lol Passion is passion and I think it came out tonight for real!

So... Drum Roll, Please... $1,900 upfront raised and $450 pledged for monthly and SO many seeds planted. If you are reading this, please pray with me that those that came tonight will refer me to people or God will continue to work on them to give monthly! Woo Hoo!!

In other news... a second big step toward Africa... I officially gave my cats away today... It breaks my heart, but I know that God wanted to see me break the tie, take the leap, and make a bold move... so I did... once the adrenaline wears off... I'm sure it will hit me more... right now, I'm just trying to not think about it and keep praying Psalm 23 over myself, esp. "He leads me down the RIGHT paths, for HIS name sake."

I'm doing my best to trust God with EVERY step and with that means I have to actually TAKE a step and then another and then another out of the box to Africa... :)
